Fees table
Our fees are determined under PPS Law by the Attorney General.
This was registered on the Federal Register of Legislation as the Personal Property Securities (Fees) Determination 2018 on 28 June 2018. These are set out in the table below.
PPSR fees are not subject to GST.

How our fees are set
Our current fees were determined in accordance with PPS Law by the Attorney General. This was registered on the Federal Register of Legislation as the Personal Property Securities (Fees) Determination 2018 on 28 June 2018.
Fees are set in accordance with the Australian Government Charging Framework. The Charging Framework supports the Australian Government’s role in delivering quality public programmes to Australian citizens, communities, and the economy more broadly. It supports government entities to design, implement and review government charging.
The PPSR is cost recovered meaning our fees are charged to cover the cost of providing our services. Cost recovery includes fees and charges related to the provision of government goods and services (including regulation) to the private and other non-government sectors of the economy.
In accordance with the framework, we develop a cost recovery impact statements (CRIS) in consultation with our stakeholders to demonstrate how we came to the fee amounts for each service. The most recent CRIS has applied since 1 August 2018.
