Receive SPG notifications to your B2G mailbox

Link your B2G account to a Secured Party Group (SPG) to receive registration notifications to your B2G mailbox.

Receive SPG notifications to your B2G mailbox

To receive registrations notifications to your B2G mailbox, your B2G account must be linked to the SPG or you have requested a copy.

One option is to set the B2G mailbox as the address for service.

You can also add additional B2G mailboxes or email addresses to receive copies of verification statements, tokens and access codes.

This is useful if you want to automatically send copies to others parties, such as lawyers, supervisors or even yourself. It saves you from manually forwarding emails to people who don’t have access to your secured party group’s (SPG) address for service inbox.

These features are configured in the SPG settings.

If you have a B2G account, the sections below explain your options to set this up.

If you only have a web account, see Manage your PPSR email notifications for more details.

B2G mailbox as the address for service

One of the options for the address for service of a secured party group is to choose a B2G address. This is done by specifying the B2G account number as well as the email and mailing address. All verification statements, tokens and access codes will be sent to the B2G mailbox when anyone using the SPG completes a registration activity.

Note: Depending on your B2G account settings, access codes and tokens might not be sent to the email address for service.

B2G Mailbox as additional notifications

If the B2G mailbox is not set as the address for service, you can add the B2G mailbox as an additional notification address. This is set for each notification type.

Once you enter an additional B2G Mailbox address in the SPG page, you will receive an additional copy of the notification sent to the mailbox specified when anyone using the SPG completes a registration activity.

CC Copies or Send Registration Copies

A CC copy B2G mailbox address can be set up by each account user, including users of the PPSR’s web interface. This allows users to receive a copy of the notification when they complete a registration activity for any secured party group (SPG).

By default, only verification statements can be sent as CC copies.

If the secured party group settings are configured to not allow CC notifications, the user will be advised after completing the transaction that they will not receive a copy.

Note: B2G users can only set their CC addresses using the request outlined in the B2G specification and WSDL on the B2G technical resources page.

For further information on using your B2G connection:

You will need use the UpdateSecuredPartyGroup operation described in the B2G specifications and defined in the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) that can be located at the B2G technical resources page.

Note: To set a B2G account or change the SPG settings, you will need the SPG number, access code, and permission to access the SPG page.
